Sci-Fi Channel Rebrand? WHY-FI?
So, the incredibly well-conceved Sci-Fi truncation is being done away with (not to mention a very well executed and well known logo) to make way for the ever-less-interesting SyFy. I’m not exactly sure what they’re thinking, but acording to reports, they’re trying to move away from the “geekdom” they’ve previously embodied.
My thought? It’s geeks (like me) who watch your network, because you connect well with my Sci-Fi sensibilities. All-things-to-all-people hasn’t worked for IBM and Starbucks. What makes you think it’ll work for you?
In any case, good collection of thoughts over at (and article via) redesign:related.
